Shayla Hayward-Lundy, LPAT, ATR-BC, RYT-200
Shayla is a board-certified, licensed art therapist with clinical experience in hospitals, psychiatric facilities, addiction treatment centers, telehealth organizations, and nonprofit settings.
Her therapeutic approach combines the creative arts with talk therapy to promote healthy self-expression, emotional insight, and deep healing. She specializes in helping individuals with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, low self-esteem, and substance use. In addition to her clinical training, she holds certifications in yoga, mindfulness, and brain injury care, which further enrich her holistic approach to mental health and overall well-being.
Shayla facilitates art therapy groups and workshops exclusively for nonprofits, private organizations, and telehealth companies. In addition to her clinical work, Shayla has over a decade of experience in nonprofit management and fundraising with organizations including the USO, Blue Star Families, Warrior for Life Fund, SOF to SOM, the Military Special Operations Family Collaborative, and Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Buttercup
Princess Buttercup is a four-year-old Golden Retriever rescue from the nonprofit SEVA GRREAT. She is currently training to become a certified therapy dog and accompanies Shayla to military and veteran organizations. Buttercup loves peanut butter, meeting new people, and learning about art therapy!
